Preface:

2001 ( A personal letter to you).

Dear Sister in The Lord, now reading this book –

I hope that you will enjoy these letters, some of them really written to my own sister, far away on the other side of the world. All the stories are true, but names, places and some dates are changed to protect the privacy of the people concerned.

We hope that you will laugh sometimes as you read and maybe the stories will touch your heart. Most of all, my prayer is that you will find yourself encouraged and released to be set free in your own ministry - for we are all called to be witnesses in our own unique way.

Perhaps you might feel inspired to write some letters of your own about your personal experiences. Concealed in the routine of our everyday lives are many opportunities to bring others into the Kingdom of God. My life was perhaps more ordinary than most. I decided to stay at home until my children were grown.

Time is ticking away. I wonder if you have ever considered that for some you might be the last chance they have to hear the good news of Jesus and His saving love. When he spoke to the flight attendant, Bill Fay had no idea that she would die in the attack on the twin towers two days later. (Press the purple button marked "Bill/Patsy " to read this amazing story - Bill's is at the end of the selection.)

Ezekiel Chapter 3 has always been very meaningful to me. I was not called to be a missionary in a strange land, to speak to people with a strange tongue. I did not need to go to Language Lessons for five years before sharing the Gospel with my neighbours. It was easy, for the mores and customs of the area were already familiar .

Others mentioned in this book all had their own unique ways of sharing the Good News. So do you. Pray and ask the Lord to use you. Then see what kind of a job He sends your way. Receive each person who comes across your path as someone the Lord sends for a purpose, and prayerfully take it from there. (He will also send people who will bless you. This kind of thing often turns out to be a two way street). May the Lord bless you as you start out on this great and exciting adventure. I doubt if you will ever be bored again!

Ezekiel 3: 4-6 And he said to me, "Son of man, go, get you to the house of Israel, and speak with my words to them. For you are not sent to a people of foreign speech and a hard language, but to the house of Israel not to many peoples of foreign speech and a hard language, whose words you cannot understand.
