Dear Sister in The Lord, now reading this book –

I hope that you will enjoy these letters, some of them really written to my own sister, far away on the other side of the world. All the stories are true, but names, places and some dates are changed to protect the privacy of the people concerned.

We hope that you will laugh sometimes as you read and maybe the stories will touch your heart. Most of all, my prayer is that you will find yourself encouraged and released to be set free in your own ministry - for we are all called to be witnesses in our own unique way.

Perhaps you might feel inspired to write some letters of your own about your personal experiences. Concealed in the routine of our everyday lives are many opportunities to bring others into the Kingdom of God. My life was perhaps more ordinary than most. I decided to stay at home until my children were grown.

Time is ticking away. I wonder if you have ever considered that for some you might be the last chance they have to hear the good news of Jesus and His saving love. Ezekiel Chapter 3 has always been very meaningful to me. I was not called to be a missionary in a strange land, to speak to people with a strange tongue. I did not need to go to Language Lessons for five years before sharing the Gospel with my neighbours. It was easy, for the mores and customs of the area were already familiar .
