PRESS RELEASE
The Queensland Crabbet Arabian Group Inc announces the next World Crabbet Convention will be held in November 2005 at Toowoomba in South East Queensland, Australia.
Following on from the success of the Convention held in Victoria in 2000 and 2002 in the United Kingdom, attended by several hundred breeders and owners from England, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, France, Germany, South Africa, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, our members would like to keep the momentum going and invite you all to join us.
There is a renewed interest in Arabians of Crabbet Lineage and in the Crabbet Stud itself as more people realize the immense impact that Arabians from that stud continue to have in almost all breeding programs around the world that are producing today's champions in halter, performance and endurance and wish to become part of ensuring the future of these lines.
The Convention will present a one day show to showcase Australian Arabians doing what they do so well, a parade of 100% Crabbet and Crabbet related Arabians and a one day seminar with guest speakers from around the world. It is planned to organize stud tours throughout the country to enable visitors to see first hand the Crabbet lines so well preserved and used here in Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity for breeders in Australia to present our horses to the rest of the world. We have the greatest collection of close up Crabbet lines of any country in the world today and breeders in other countries are keen to source that genetic pool.
