Home amongst the Gum Trees

The first was started at a workshop with Fran Williams - it was house blocks alternating with tree blocks and a few animal blocks. I had liked the quilt when I started but before completing the workshop, I had "gone off" the quilt. So I took to the blocks; changed the pine tree block and added a lot more features including the lean-tos, swing, rocking chair, domestic and native animals, haystack, quilt on clothesline, etc.

This second version also includes an out-house, beehive and farmer.

Machine pieced and machine and hand quilted - 69" x 87".
