Everyone loves a mystery. and has scraps left over from previous quilt projects and 5" squares in their cupboard. This mystery quilt has been designed to use up some of those scraps.
Please read all instructions before beginning. You may prefer to use an alternative method to the one given to complete the individual blocks.
Dimensions - 82 inches square
Requirements - based on fabrics at least 105 cms wide.
- Approx 3.5 metres assorted light scraps (for background)
- Approx 3.5 metres assorted medium and dark scraps
Requirements for borders are included in this fabric. Extra fabric will be needed for binding and backing.

Cutting

Construction
- Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of each of 32 of the light squares.

- With right sides together place a light square on top of one corner of a medium rectangle.
- Sew the light square to the medium rectangle along the diagonal drawn on the light square.

- Trim leaving a ¼" seam allowance and press seam allowance towards light fabric.

- Sew another light square to the adjacent corner of the medium rectangle.

- Trim and press seam allowance towards light fabric.
