Cutting
| Light Scraps | Cut 32 4¼" squares |
| Medium Scraps | Cut 16 4¼" squares |
| Dark Scraps | Cut 16 4¼" squares |
Construction
- Repeat steps 1-4 of part 2 using 16 of the light squares and the medium squares to construct 32 light/medium bias squares measuring 3&7/8"
- Repeat steps 1-4 of part 2 using the remaining 16 light squares and the dark squares to construct 32 light/dark bias squares measuring 3&7/8".
- Draw a diagonal on the wrong side of the light/medium squares from point W to point Z.
- With right sides together place light/medium bias square on a light/dark bias square so that points A & X, B & W, C and Z and D & Y are together
- Sew ¼" either side of diagonal and then cut along the diagonal. Press open. Construct 64 unit E which should measure 3½" square.
