Lyndoch

Lyndoch is a small town which lies on the Barossa Valley Hwy between Gawler and Tanunda. The town was originally settled as a centre for the local farming community however has slowly been consumed by the Barossa Valley wine region, and now is surrounded by vineyards and wineries just as the larger towns to the north are. 5km to the north is the Chateau Yaldara, one of the largest and most famous wineries in the Barossa Valley - also in the area is Sandy Creek Conservation Park and Whispering Wall (forms part of the Barossa Reservoir). The town, while not offering many services has grown in recent times due to its close proximity with the neighbouring larger centres, Adelaide and that it offers quiet, country living.
