Melrose is a small town, located in the southern Flinders Ranges and lies at the foot of Mt Remarkable. The town is one of the oldest in the Flinders Ranges with various national trust buildings still standing - many dating back to the late 1850's. Certainly an attractive town to visit as it is well kept, the main street is interesting and Mt Remarkable provides a great backdrop.
