Myponga

Myponga, a small town located at the junction of the B23 and B34 is well known for the local reservoir which supplies the southern suburbs of Adelaide and Fleurieu Peninsula with water. The town, set in a nest shaped valley up until the late 1980's had a cheese factory in operation however is now the centre for the local dairy and sheep industries. The nearby reservoir has several picnic grounds and vantage points as does Hindmarsh Falls (10km east) which is spectacular in winter.
