Wilmington

Wilmington is a small town in the northern Mid North region of SA and lies on the southern edges of the Flinders Ranges. Settled in the mid 1860's, the town was set up as part of the wheat push into regional SA and today serves as a farming centre. The town's main street is wide and shady and features several historic buildings. In the area are Mt Remarkable National Park (15km south), Alligator Gorge (10km south-west) and Hancock's Lookout (15km west) where most of the northern Spencer Gulf can be viewed.
