"Well Done, Those Men", should be read by every wife and child of Vietnam Veterans. It goes a long way to explaining many things that everybody else, including some Vets can't understand. It is a brutally honest book and must have been so very very hard for Barry to write, I'm just so glad he did. In parts I found myself really laughing. not just smiling to myself, but laughing. In other sections I remembered Heidelburg Repatriation Hospital in 1990, that was not so funny. Barry takes you there in three stages, Training, Vietnam, and Home. Each section in itself explains to the reader how anyone of these can make or break you......Put the three together and you have the story of what many Vietnam have had to go through, and unfortunatley what some are still going through.
It is also a timely reminder to all of us not to let this happen to our Troops who are serving overseas now.
Well Done Those Men, should be in Schools,as part of our History, it should be compulsory reading for any person that has to deal with Veterans, including Doctors. It should be read by anybody who just cares.
Lastly it should be read by politicians on both sides as they decide what to cut from Veterans entitlements next!
