3. OUR OTHER SOLID COLOURS

Cheryle started with Blues, Blue-creams and Creams back in 1962.
The Lavendel persians quickly became well-known for their type and pale, long coats.

Denis had already started a breeding base in 1959
in the same colour group. His prefix is Ithaca.

Blacks came later. Again, the Lavendels became part of the partnership.
Reds and Tortoiseshells mostly only occurred once the Colourpoints (Himalayans) began breeding
under the Sublime prefix with Rod, and jointly conducted with Denis.

Joanne began breeding Himalayans under her Preview prefix about 1990
and now concentrates on the solid colours.
She is part owner of the Sublime prefix.

These days, dense and dilute tend to be interbred (due to a loss of some key stock,
though we are trying to breed up a line of dilute-only cats. Whites are commonly bred with
our other solid colours, Blue-creams and Torties.

We have no tabbies or patched cats. Our Himalayans are not part of our solid programme,
so our Persian pedigrees are relatively pure.

A. OUR BLACKS

LEFT - CCCA Ch.,Gold Gd.Ch.Preview Panache
- a beautifully-balanced young female
and litter sister to Perfectly Odd [See Whites].
In a field which is usually restricted to males,
she was 3rd. Cat of Year in 2000.
RIGHT - Gd.Ch.Sublime Shakermaker
one of our younger black studs;
a father by 10 mths.
He is another very large,
heavily-boned cat with a promising future.
While the photo does not show it, he probably
has the best head in the cattery.
Shown here at 11 months,
he has sired some beautiful kittens.
LEFT - Preview Purzelot
- our youngest black stud
(sired by Finchfield Rusty Marque - UK).
He has an excellent head, a better body
and great coat colour and texture.
He has already notched up a couple of
Best in Show awards.
[Flash has interferred with eye colour].
RIGHT - Gd.Ch.Preview Purzelot
taken in November 2002
and showing great maturity
and roundness of head,
along with excellent muscle and body.
[Again, flash has interferred with eye and coat colour.
He actually has a dark, even, glossy coat].
LEFT - Sublime Supercool
He has an excellent head, and body
and great coat colour and texture.
He is now living in the U.K.
RIGHT - Sublime Black Male Kitten
showing his heavy type,
but expressive face.
[He now lives in New Zealand].
LEFT - Sublime Sneek A Peek
Her heavily-typed, male-style head
sweet expression, lovely body and
dense, black coat are fine foundations
for her future in U.K., her new home.
RIGHT - Sublime High Spirits
- heavy type, but beautifully-balanced face,
broad head and muscular body.
now just 2-years old.
[Best in Show every time shown as kitten
and young adult.
LEFT - High Spirits again
an excellent shot of his head.

B. OUR BLUES

RIGHT - CCCA Gd.Ch,Gold Gd.Ch.
Sublime Special Charm

(Blue female).
Charm probably had the cobbiest Persian body
on the show bench when shown,
as well as great boning, bulk
and top of head.
Her Blue and Black children have gone to
Queensland, Hong Kong and USA.
Shown here with Theresa Imboden from Sydney,
who made her Reserve to Best in Show.
LEFT - Luvmetu, now a GRAND CHAMPION,
shown here as a young adult
and developing into the heavy,
very muscular boy expected.
His head is also rounding off very well.
(Photography has not been kind to his colour here).
[He no longer lives with us].
