4. OUR HIMALAYANS
[All our Himalayans are PKD-negative].

Our Himalayan programme began in 1976.
While the early pointeds were not as good as those available today,
we bred carefully into our solid colour Persians,
imported top quality stock from overseas, breeding some type ahead of its time; specifically
Sublime Peken Tom, a cream carrier male, pictured below
as an unbalanced adolescent, but still showing his potential.

The young Sublime Pekentom
He was Reserve Cat of Year in 1990.

Tommy is found in the pedigrees of many of today's top Himalayans
in this part of the world. He was bred with our females under both
the Sublime and Preview banners; Preview originally being Joanne's own prefix.

The Himalayans shown below (and our other pointed lines) have been selected
carefully with an infusion of Tommy's bloodline, along with other important
lines. Our newer Himalayans, shown below, share the genes of the above.
