B-FIGHTER KABUTO

(1996)
A sequel to "Juko Beetle Fighter", teenagers who can transform into metallic
beetles. An ancient race of prehistoric creatures has evolved into the Melzard Tribe.
Arising to claim the surface world like devils, the imperial family beneath the
empress Mother Melzard has become divided over the millennia into two primary
military clans. Leading the land creatures is the powerful dinosaur general,
Raija, eldest son of the Empire. Beneath him, the insectoid female fencer,
Miohra, serves as commander of his body-guard troops and mutant soldiers.
Leading the aquatic creatures is the deep-sea fish-man, Dezul, second son of the
Empire. The seashell chamberlain, Dord, commands Dezul's troops and mutant
soldiers. To counter Melzard, a new, young generation of B-Fighters steps up to
the challenge. The Saban company in the USA, adapted the series into an English
language version by cutting out all the non action scenes, and replacing these
scenes with American actors and dialogue, then dubbing the action scenes into
English. The first series was called "Big Bad Beetleborgs" an adaptation of "Juko Beetle Fighter", and the next
was "Beetleborgs Metallix", which was an adaptation of "B-Fighter
Kabuto". Saban also released three telemovies, edited down episodes of
their two television series. These movies were "Beetleborgs: Curse of the Shadow Borg", "Beetleborgs: Vampire Files",
edited episodes from "Big Bad Beetleborgs"; and "Beetleborgs Metallix: The Movie" edited episodes from "Beetleborgs Metallix".
