BIG BAD BEETLEBORGS

(1996)

The Saban company in the USA, adapted the Japanese series "Juko Beetle Fighter" into an English language version by cutting out all the non action scenes, and replacing these scenes with American actors and dialogue, then dubbing the action scenes into English. The first series changed the Japanese story to that of three American children who hide in a haunted house to get away from bullies. While in the house, the three find Flabber - a phantom, who grants them a wish, which they choose to be able to transform into Metalic Beetles, to fight bullies and bad guys. The next series was "Beetleborgs Metallix", which was an adaptation of "B-Fighter Kabuto" Saban also released three telemovies, edited down episodes of their two television series. These movies were "Beetleborgs: Curse of the Shadow Borg", "Beetleborgs: Vampire Files", edited episodes from "Big Bad Beetleborgs"; and "Beetleborgs Metallix: The Movie" edited episodes from "Beetleborgs Metallix".
