BEETLEBORGS:
CURSE OF THE SHADOW BORG

(1996)
The Saban company in the USA, adapted the Japanese series "Juko Beetle Fighter"
into an English language version "Big Bad Beetleborgs", by cutting out all the non action scenes, and replacing these
scenes with American actors and dialogue, then dubbing the action scenes into
English. From this series, Saban also released a telemovie - "Beetleborgs:
Curse of the Shadow Borg", from edited down episodes of "Big Bad Beetleborgs". The telemovie changed the Japanese story to that of three American children
who hide in a haunted house to get away from bullies. While in the house, the three find Flabber - a phantom, who grants them a wish, which they choose to be able to transform into Metalic Beetles, to fight bullies and bad guys.
Saban also adapted a second series - "Beetleborgs Metallix", which was an adaptation of "B-Fighter
Kabuto". Other telemovies were "Beetleborgs: Vampire Files" and "Beetleborgs Metallix: The
Movie".
