BEETLEBORGS METALLIX:
THE MOVIE

(1997)

The Saban company in the USA, adapted the Japanese series "Juko Beetle Fighter" into an English language version "Big Bad Beetleborgs", by cutting out all the non action scenes, and replacing these scenes with American actors and dialogue, then dubbing the action scenes into English. They also did the same for their second series - "Beetleborgs Metallix", which was an adaptation of the Japanese "B-Fighter Kabuto". From this series, Saban also released a telemovie - edited down episodes of "Beetleborgs Metallix". The telemovie changed the Japanese story to that of three American children who were granted wish, which they choose to be able to transform into Metallic Beetles. This movie deals with saving the world from Lester Fortunes. Saban also released other telemovies: "Beetleborgs: Curse of the Shadow Borg" and "Beetleborgs: Vampire Files", both of which were edited down episodes from "Big Bad Beetleborgs".
