In a galaxy far far away, the 12 colonies of mankind are almost destroyed by a race of Cyborgs - Cylons. Those that were not killed, escaped in what ever spacecraft that were left, protected by a lone battlestar (battleship), the Galactica; now searching for the 13th colony, "Earth".
