"Space 1999" was a 48 episode television series set in the year 1999, with the Earth having a base on the moon. Due to an explosion, the moon is thrown out of Earth's gravitational pull and sent hurtling into deep space. Other telemovies were made from re-edited episodes - "Spazio 1999" (1976) compiled from the episodes "Breakaway", "Ring Around The Moon" and "Another Time, Another Place"; "Destination Moonbase Alpha" (1978) compiled from the episodes "The Bringers Of Wonder (1)" and "The Bringers Of Wonder (2)"; "Alien Attack" (1979) compiled from the episodes "Breakaway" and "War Games"; "Cosmic Princess" (1982) compiled from the episodes "The Metamorph" and "Space Warp".
There is also a documentary "Space:1999 & UFO - The Documentaries".
