BRIBIE ISLAND SENIORS COMPUTING CLUB

About the Club
The Bribie Island Seniors Computing Club was  formed in December 2000 as a non-profit, self help group to provide an avenue for senior citizens on Bribie Island, Queensland Australia, to share and develop their knowledge of computing.  The Club grew from the Bongaree Neighbourhood Watch as an avenue to enrich the lives of our local community.
We have formed a number of Special Interest Groups; Family History; Word Processing & Desktop Publishing; Internet; eMail; Multimedia; and Databases & Spreadsheets, which meet regularly in private homes and elsewhere.
The full group meet on the
fourth Wednesday of each month from 10:00am to 12 noon in the Bribie Island RSL & Citizens Club, Function Room  The dates are:

# 28 August 2002 # 25 September 2002# 23 October 2002
27 November 2002

Nametags have been produced for all members and are distributed at our monthly meeting. Members should wear these at all activities..
With limited publicity we have already attracted over 600 members who cover a wide spectrum of computer skills, knowledge and interest.  The one thing they all have in common is a desire to learn more about computing. .
We do not have a formal 'committee' structure or charge any fees.  We act as a true cooperative, with all members contributing in some way to the organisation .
