WHY BAMBOO IS THE MOST ENVIRONMENTALLY FREINDLY PRODUCT
Bamboo is not a tree, it is a giant grass & the fastest growing plant on the planet, and as such is termite resistant. It also has a short growth cycle & can be harvested in 3 - 5 yrs compared to 10 - 50 yrs for most other woods. Bamboo forests are self-renewing after harvest, regenerating a new crop every year without the need to replant. Providing up to 5 times more usable fibre per hectare than pine forests &, unlike timber, requires no chemical sprays or fertilisers. Bamboo is also the fastest growing canopy for re-greening degraded lands, releasing 35% more oxygen than equivelent stands of trees. Some bamboos even sequester up to 12 tons of carbon dioxide from the air per hectare. When it comes to construction it is one of the strongest building materials, with a tensile strength that rivals steel & a weight-to-strength ratio surpassing that of granite.

All our bamboo is sourced directly from established Bamboo Forests in Vietnam (no threat to Panda's) where it is managed & hand cut by village collectives. Community parnerships are important to us & while we all want to make a profit, partnering with suppliers allows us to make a difference to benefit all.

bamboojungle takes our environment and social responsibilities seriously, all bamboojungle's activities are undertaken within bamboojungle's Environment and Social Policy. All products are made from renewable resources and all processes from the bamboo forest to the finished product are managed to negate any harmful effects to the environment.
All our products are Hand Made & maintaining quality is our #1 priority. To this end all products are assembled in purpose built facilities by BambooJungle our maufacturer in Vietnam.
