Levin finished writing The Man Who Never Sleeps in early 2004. In an email to his old friend Schaffer -- an engineer living in Las Angeles -- Levin mentioned that he'd have to begin saving money to self publish. A week or so later, Schaffer's father, still in Australia, called and said: "The whole familly got together and decided to put up the money for you!"

That was the begining of Wolfty And Cliff Publishing, named after Schaffer's ( and his brother Dwigh's) grandparents.

Levin talked them into paying for three thousand copies.

Besides the proof reading, which was done by the "mother" of W & C (preferring to remain annonomous), the actuall working staff of W & C consists of two people: Lukas Bendel (a drummer well-known on the Darwin music scene) and Levin Diatschenko. Together they did the formatting, cover design, web site and advertising. They'd get together in the mornings and work whole days, drinking coffee, and then vodka when the going got tough.

Every starving artist should get themselves a Wolfty And Cliff!
