Over
the past ten years or more Chris has illustrated over 50 educational books
for children. Illustrations range from simple line art to detailed colour
work as shown here. Chris enjoys the challenge of interpreting the text
in ways that make the learning experience fun as well as informative. |
 |
 |
The
most important aspect of the book illustrator's work is cover design. The
cover is the 'first contact' with the reader and must encourage them to
pick the book up and look inside. |
 |
 |
Chris
established his free-lance studio in 1985, focusing mainly on T-shirt print
design. This expanded to include graphic design, advertising, the souvenir
market, private and council commissions, airbrush art and, of course, book
illustration. |
 |
 |
Cartoon
style art always creates the most desirable response in the viewer - it
makes them feel good. It's easier to sell products or information to someone
if you have just made them smile! |
 |
 |
Quite
often all that is required is one colour art.
This can be anything from very simple line drawings to complex or realistic
illustration. With thousands of such drawings completed, Chris can guarantee
top quality at the best price. |

Workshops
in all aspects of drawing skills are available to schools and interested
groups on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. |
