This site provides free monthly sample word puzzles for your enjoyment which you may printout or save. The Cryptic Crossword and Guide are best saved as a .html file to allow easier negotiation and study. The Straight Crossword is for those who don't want to try the Cryptic, the grid and answers are the same.

The clues to the Cryptic puzzle are linked to the most relevant part of the Guide to give beginners a bit of a headstart. Simply click on a clue you're having trouble with and help will be there! The Straight puzzle clues should be a last resort.
