The Australian Cat Club is an All Breeds Cat Club that is the oldest cat club in the southern hemisphere
having been founded in 1919.
We have come a long way and seen many changes over the years. No longer are the cat
shows held mid-morning on
Wednesdays, at venues in the CBD..Imagine sharing a hall with dogs! Scary!
Some things never change though and that is the people who we need to make our club a success,
and Australian's members create the mood of our club and that is one of enjoyment.
We enjoy getting together at meetings and social gatherings to have some fun and natter about our felines
We enjoy organising a show for the pleasure of sharing the joy our cats bring. We have a regular newsletter that shares
information and amusement among our members. We publish a calendar of our finest pin-up cats
& we never tire of admiring each others photos.
We encourage cat owners to try and keep a healthy, safe environment for their pets and the
wildlife we all treasure.
