Welcome to our home page.
The Association was established in 1979 and is affiliated with
The Feline Control Council of Victoria Inc. The first meeting of the Association was held
on 18th March 1979, and our first show was held in 1984 and is now held
in July of each year.
The aim of our Association is to breed the beautiful Birman cat- arguably one of the
most beautiful of cat breeds. Also to promote the breeding of the Birman cat to a
standard of excellence by adhering to the
Breed Standard.
To promote interest and knowledge of the Birman through education and to provide prospective owners of Birmans with the knowledge and duty of care essential to own this beautiful cat.
As cat lovers we promote the welfare of not only our breed but all breeds of cats by controlling the unnecessary breeding of cats by early de-sexing Birman kittens sold as pets.
Our breeders uphold a "Code of Ethics" and are all registered with Governing Councils.
There is an Advisory Service; Phone: (03 9337 1209) E-mail: Birman Advisory Service © which can supply necessary information regarding the Birman cat and also provide pet kittens to buyers from our kitten register.
Why not visit us at our next show on 6th July 2007 at St Thomas The Apostle primary School, 260 Diamopnd Creek Rd, Greensborough.
