Mrs Eve Krznaric
Breeding:
In 1976, I purchased my first Seal Point,
Jamadar Chin Chin. From this tiny creature my interest in Showing and Breeding
started and I have been a registered breeder with the Feline Control
Council since then. During that time I
have bred and shown under the ALKIRA prefix, specialized in Tabby Points,
ventured into Orientals, and now I seem to have Seals and Blues, but never
without a Tabby Point amongst them.
Councils and Clubs:
I have participated in a wide range of
activities within the Cat Fancy, including serving as Secretary and Show
Manager for Gippsland Cat Club from 1979 to 2003 and was awarded Life Membership.
I have also been Warragul Agricultural Society's Show Manager from 1981 to 2003, and Group 2
section manager at the FCC Open show from 1984 to 2003.
I was elected to the FCCv committee in 1986 and
have enjoyed being involved in many activities within the Cat Fancy, which have
involved approving Show Schedules, running Stewards Courses and sitting on
various sub-committees, one of which involved helping to revise the Group 2
standard in 1985.
I was thrilled to be awarded Life Membership of the Feline Control Council at
the end of 1997. I continued and served
a total of 15 years on committee retiring in 2001.
Judging:
I have been a Group 2 Judge since 1984,
extended into Group 3 in 1990, and have enjoyed my assignments in most states
of Australia as well as England, Singapore and New Zealand. For a short time I was involved as
assistant Tutor Judge in Group 2.
General:
I have been Editor of 'Feline Focus' the
FCCv's official magazine, resigning at the end of 1997 after 10 years.
I have gradually retired from the more active
roles of the FCCv including breeding, but still enjoy my judging assignments.
A love of camping has taken over my life, while
in my spare time I own and manage a
country Taxi.
