Mrs Margaret OslerI have been in the cat fancy for over thirty years, in which time I was Secretary of the Democratic Cat Council and Registrar of the Independent Cat Association for four years. I have been a member of many clubs over the years, founding the Rex Cat Club of Australasia in the late 1970's, being its Secretary for seventeen years, together with running many shows over an even longer period of time and instructing other members on all aspects of managing shows.
In the broader field of communication, I published "Cat Chat" magazine and have been a delegate to firstly the ACF and later the CCC of A.
My breeding experience ranges through Siamese/Orientals, Cornish and Devon Rex,
Burmese, Abyssinians and British Shorthairs; currently concentrating on building
a reputation in Siamese/Orientals under my ' SYRECKS' prefix.
Completion of my Group 2 and Group 3 judges licences were in 1980 and 1987, respectively.
I have judged in most parts of Australia and New Zealand and enjoy travelling widely in these two countries
to assess the full range of shorthairs.
I have been very fortunate to have such great support in my hobby from my
husband Brian, he himself having once held major excutive positions in
the Cat Fancy.
