Welcome to my web site! I have been involved with model boats virtually all of my life. From sailing boats made from matchboxes with paper sails in neighborhood puddles to building free sailing balsa model boats and yachts to designing, building and racing International class radio yachts many which have won State and National Championships on the way. I have also spent several years racing larger boats mainly catamarans. I have been designing and building radio yachts since 1976 and making sails since 1980, produced sails for all classes and non class Radio and Model yachts including multi hulls. I have built many yachts to my own designs mainly Ten Raters and Marble heads with the odd A Class. As sailor I have won 4 Australian Ten Rater Titles gained a 4th place in the 1993 Ten Rater WC. I have won too many state titles to remember. Also to my surprise I won the 2006 and 2007 NSW Soling One Meter Championships. The new Phoenix 4 Ten Rater now on the water and being built under license by Peter Chermside. After months of development the boats are now being produced. The P3 10r hull is still available and is being expertly molded by Colin Cooley. Sails.... Are are no longer being made to order. The time taken is the reason I have not been able to do much designing or building. The following designs and other will follow soon. New designs.... New A Class "UFO" and IOM "Emo" plans will be available from May 2009. The "Emo" IOM will be free a download. Frank Russell 27/6/09
