Alternative Colour Schemes

For those wishing to make a more colour coordinated quilt, there are a number of alternatives.

  • Use bright tone on tones instead of the dark and medium scraps (using different colours for the darks and mediums) and replace the light background with a dark background (eg black or navy solid or tone on tone).

  • Use only one fabric for the background

  • Use several fabrics in one or two colours for the dark fabric and several fabrics in one or two colours for the medium fabric.
