Part 4
Please read all instructions before beginning your blocks. You
may wish to use an alternative method to the one given to complete
the individual blocks.
Detailed instructions are given for rotary cutting methods and
machine piecing. A ¼" seam allowance is to be used
throughout.
Cutting

Cut 24 4¼" squares

Construction
- Repeat steps 1-5 of part 3 using
the light medium and dark 4¼" squares to construct a further
48 Unit E.
- Sew a unit E on opposites sides of each light square so that
the medium triangle is sewn to the light square. Make 28 unit F
which should measure 3½" x 9½".

Unit F
- Sew a dark 3½" square to either side of the remaining
unit E's so that the light triangles are sew next to the dark
square. Make 56 unit G which should measure 3½" x
9½"

Unit G

Sew a unit G to either side of the unit F making sure that the
medium triangle that occurs in unit G is sewn next to the light
square in Unit F. Construct 28 star units each measuring 9½"
square.
