Inscription on headstone
The monument on John Tevelein's grave was erected by public subscription which raised the amount of £61/10/0.
The monument consisted of a bluestone obelisk mounted on a marble base and with a marble tablet let into one side of the obelisk. The plot was surrounded by bluestone kerbing with iron railings.
The work was carried out by Mr John Edwards, of George St.
