RULES:

  • As per Division 1, and Division 3. A.N.S.A. Rule Book

  • A maximum of 5 fish to be weighed for aggregate points.
  • Only 2 of any one species allowed.
  • Flyfishing is a separate division.
  • If you weigh in 5 fish caught in division 1, you may still weigh in another fish for the flyfishing division.

FISHING TIMES:

  • Start fishing 0001 am Saturday 07th February.
  • Cease fishing 1200 noon Sunday 08th.
  • You must present your fish at the weigh in site by 1300 hours on Sunday 08th February.

WEIGH IN:

  • Commences 1200 noon on Sunday 08th February, and will finish at 1.00 pm.
  • PLEASE NOTE that it is important you present your fish punctually so the calculations can begin to determine the winners without unnecessary delay to all concerned.
  • A non-compulsory weigh in will be held on Saturday 07th February between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm.
  • Fish weighed at this weigh in can be upgraded at the Sunday weigh in should a better fish be caught.
  • There is no minimum point score applied to any fish at this year’s interclub.
  • ALL FISH MUST BE WEIGHED GILLED AND GUTTED.

SPECIES:

  • All eligible species according to the A.N.S.A. handbook with the exception of Bass.
  • Please note that wild Bass are excluded from the weigh in for conservation purposes, however two Bass taken from an impoundment may be weighed in.

TAGGING:

  • Please note that fish caught by using multi-hooked bait jigs will not be accepted for weighing or tagging points.
  • All fish tagged are eligible for tagging points only, with the exception of Billfish. (1 Sailfish and 1 Marlin may be tagged and entered towards aggregate points.)
  • Pre-determined weights for Marlin and Sailfish have been provided, so that you may enter these towards your aggregate points. These weights are: Marlin 25 kg and Sailfish 30 kg. Therefore, a Marlin tagged on 8 kg line would be worth 375 points towards your aggregate points. (Should an angler tag more than 1 Marlin, he can only enter one for aggregate points, the rest being eligible for tag points only).
  • Fish can only be entered once.
  • Any Billfish tagged on less than 6 kg line will only be awarded points as if 6 kg line was used.
  • This year, the tagging section has been expanded to cover offshore, inshore, freshwater and junior categories.
  • For people tagging in Pumicestone Passage, you can tag the following species:
  • Flathead
  • Tailor
  • Mulloway
  • Bream
  • Javelin Fish
  • Mangrove Jack
  • Luderick
  • Gold Spot
  • Black Spot Estuary Cod.
  • The Bribie Island Sportfishing Club has tags available for people wishing to tag in Pumicestone Passage.
  • These tags will be issued on a fair share basis, and any unused tags must be returned at the completion of the competition.
  • Please ensure that you use appropriate sized tags for the fish you are tagging.
