The Prince Alfred,ship of 921 tons, master Smith, arrived Melbourne on the 17th Feb 1854,having had departed Plymouth on the 9th of Nov 1853, with 350 Government immigrants. married: Castleconnell,Co Limerick Ireland. 25th February 1846.Ireland (src:son Joe's birth) spouse: Ann Joyce born c1826. Limerick.Ire. c1834. [#] parents: 2nd March 1907, Ann was admitted to the Kew Asylum, where her son Robert was also instituted. Ann was admitted under the name of Agnes. stated she was a widow, and had two sons Robert and Thomas.at the time of admission, Ann was living at 38 Young St, South Melbourne. died. 1907.Kew Asylum. buried. The family arrive Victoria per Prince Alfred son Joseph born on voyage out.Father Patrick Sheedy signs his birth certificate and states that he and his wife were married on the 25th Feb 1846. Patrick gives his occupation as carpenter, and stated he was born c1821 at Castleconnell,Limerick Co. his wife Ann he stated was 25 years of age and from Co Clare, and they had a son John deceased, daughter Bridget still alive. 1860's. Kew Asylum records state in 1873 history:- {at previously brought by police to Carlton where he had been a patient since some time in the 1860's.  1873. wife Ann Sheedy living at Sandridge Road,Emerald Hill when Patrick was admitted to the Kew Asylum on the 11th of June. 1884-85.
