By
Rodney John O'Brien
This is a collection of poems about an over 50's village
I was inspired to write these poems from the disillusions of living in a so called over 50's lifstyle transportable home village.

In March 2001 my friend and I went and lived in a re-locatable home village near Brisbane Queensland. The speal they gave us before buying a home would make the Queen of England pack up her bags and move in, but as time went by we found that because we were the youngest people in the village we became outcasts.
Me having long hair was enough to make the other villages start rumors of me being a wacko and because I needed a walking stick to get around they started to call me Moses. We were snubbed from the Social Club and other gatherings so I started to write a few verses to express my distain, and boy o' boy did that cause a few heads to spin. After 5 months of this we sold and moved to Western Australia. I am convinced that that village was the last stop before the grave.
