Blackheath is one of the western Blue Mountains towns, situated on the Great Western Highway. The main street and the Ivanhoe Hotel are exceptional and the town east of the Great Western Hwy is very picturesque. From Blackheath, Govett's Leap, Evans and Hargraves Lookouts can be accessed, along with the main road into Megalong Valley.
