Cessnock

Cessnock is the chief settlement in the Hunter Valley region. It was once centred around the coal mining industry, however that now being phased out (and now centred mainly on Singleton and Muswellbrook)  and replaced by tourism due to the increase in vineyard production. The area is now home to many successful wineries, open for tours and wine tasting. The town itself isnt a great spectacle, infact more of a let down when compared to the pictureque settings it lies in.
