Eden

Eden began as a whaling station in the 1930's, but now primarily exists as a deep water fishing port and NSW's southern most tourist centre. It lies on the Princes Highway and on the north shore of Twofold Bay. The killer whale museum (and lighthouse) are worth visiting, and is the Rotary lookout, south of the town - the lookout is literally on the cliff face, and overlooks the whole of Twofold Bay. Nearby Boydtown was founded in the mid 1840's and was an unsuccessful metropolis, laid out by Ben Boyd. It has been recently (last 20 years) restored as a tourist attraction (I have the picture if requested) and also hosts a caravan park.
