Federal Highway 

The Federal Highway begins 10km west of Goulburn at the Hume Highway with a grade seperation interchange. From there the dual carriageway highway heads south-west, bypasses Collector, continues on around Lake George and climbs up into the ACT where it ends in Canberra.

Road Standard:  Entirely dual carriageway - mixes between bitumen and concrete surfaces. Last 20km is at freeway standard.
Road Quality: Generally good. Canberra bound lanes before Collector have a few tight bends due it being on the original highway where Goulburn traffic are on the duplicated road.
Speed Limit (outside built up areas): 110km/hr (100km/hr inside the ACT before reaching Canberra)
