Hume Highway (NSW) 

The Hume Highway (soon to be a full freeway) is the main thoroughfare between Sydney and Melbourne. From Sydney, the road slowly climbs up into the Southern Highlands, bypassing towns such as Camden, Moss Vale and Mittagong that were once upon the highway. The freeway standard road contiunes into the highlands, bypassing Goulburn, Gunning and Yass. From Yass to Albury, the road slowly declines to the Murray River and the Victorian border.

Road Standard: Freeway for approximately 400km, Remainding road consists of two way road with frequent overtaking lanes
Road Quality: Freeways are generally concrete. Otherwise all excellent bitumen.
Speed Limit (outside built up areas): Sydney-Campbelltown 100km/hr, Campbelltown-Coolac 110km/hr, Coolac-Gundagai 100km/hr, Gundagai-Sturt Hwy Junction 110km/hr, Sturt Hwy Junction-Albury 100km/hr
