Jerilderie is located on the Newell Highway where it crosses Billabong Creek. If travelling from the north, this town could be deemed an oasis for the nature of the surrounding land. The 110km of hay plains endured after driving from Narrandera is extremely boring and even a craphole like Blackwater (QLD) would be welcomed. Nevertheless, Jerilderie is a pretty town, with the highway passing through as the town's main street. The park adjacent to Billabong Creek is definetly worth stopping at!
