Lennox Head

Lennox Head, located between Ballina and Byron Bay in northern New South Wales, is a quiet seaside town known for the stunning coastal scenery and great surf beaches. While the area was discovered in the mid 1820's, it wasn't until the 1920's that the first subdivision began to form the town. The town itself is quite pretty - set in a small bay and somewhat protected by the headland, it has an interesting, cosy shopping precinct with easily accessible beaches. To the north of town is Lake Ainsworth, a freshwater lake only metres from the ocean, is popular for most water sports and swimming.
