Lithgow
Lithgow is a small city situated on the fringes of the Blue Mountains and
is a coal mining town that also comprises two power stations, dates back
to 1841. The city is nestled in a valley which contains several historic
buildings. The zig zag railway is a stretch of the old railway line -
that was reversed so the steam locomotive could make its ascent up into
the Blue Mountains, lies 10km east of the city and is now a major tourist
destination. One odd feature I noticed was at the Lithgow McDonalds believe
it or not - the Lithgow McWeather Rock - must not be missed!
