Mittagong

Mittagong lies 110km south-west of Sydney, just off the Hume Highway at the start of the Southern Tablelands and is set at the foot of Mount Gibraltar. The town is very tranquil - the old Hume Hwy is lined with various species of deciduous trees from the Sydney entrance, has a warm and busy town centre that once would have had trucks rolling along it until the bypass was built. Its interesting that there is such a profilic town centre when Bowral is so close, which also has a bustling commercial centre.
