Wagga Wagga

Wagga Wagga is NSW's largest inland city and lies at the junction of the Sturt & Olympic Highways as well as on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. It has grown significantly in the last 10 years or so as it was seen as the commercial centre for the Riverina area. The city is very picturesque - the main street is colourful and is one of the longest in Australia, stretching for over 2km; The Sturt Hwy through the city is lined with large deciduous trees making it one of the more impressive city highways; The city centre lies against the Murrumbidgee River and is filled with many profilic gardens; Williams Hill provides a great lookout (best between morning-lunch due to the sun's aspect) and contains the city's botanic gardens. Lake Albert to the south is an artificial lake which is host to a variety of water sports
