Warialda

Warialda, situated in the western New England region of New South Wales is located on the Gwydir Highway between Inverell and Moree. The town was established in the late 1840's and grew around early mining ventures and nowadays is the centre for the surrounding wheat and sheep industries as well as being an important stop for motorists. The town has several historic buildings dating back to its pioneer days, nearby areas for fossicking with the Cranky Rock Nature Reserve (8km east) and the town lookout (2km north) also of interest.
