Crows Nest

Crows Nest, a small town located 45km north of Toowoomba lies on the New England Highway and is set amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in south-east Queensland. The town was named after a local aboriginal, Jimmy Crow who made his home in a hollow tree near the current police station location - a memorial stands in Centenary Park. In the area are Crows Nest National Park (5km south-east), scenic New England Hwy south to Toowoomba and Lake Cressbrook (10km east) which is popular for water sports and picnic facilities.
