Landsborough

Landsborough, located in the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, lies just north of the Glasshouse Mountains between Caloundra and Caboolture. Situated at the foothills of the Blackall Ranges, the town was first settled in the early 1870's and became an important stop for Cobb & Co en-route to the Gympie goldfields and nowadays services the local industries which consist of macadamias, pineapples and other crops. Of interest in the area include the well-known Australia Zoo (4km south), Caloundra & Sunshine Coast beaches (20km east), Glasshouse Mountains (15km south), Big Kart Track (5km east) and Ewen Maddock Dam (6km north-east), a popular reserve which features several walking tracks and picnic areas.
