Moura

Moura, located in central Queensland, lies about 70km west of Biloela on the Dawson Highway and about 10km east of the Dawson River. Settled in the early 1930's, the town was established to serve the local cattle and grain industries, although the town's significant economic boost arrived in the 1950's when BHP began coal mining operations about 5km east. With only nominal attractions and the lack of through traffic, Moura primarily services the local community.
