Walkerston, located on the Peak Downs Highway in the Pioneer Valley, is surrounded by vast fields of sugar cane and lies 10km south-west of Mackay. Acting as a satellite town to Mackay, Walkerston offers cheaper housing to the expanding region and services the local community.
