Blanchetown

Blanchetown is a small town located just off the Sturt Highway where it crosses the Murray River and along with Morgan to the north, forms the western edge of the Riverland region in South Australia. The town also marks the first of the series of Locks along the Murray River which control the waterflow. The town itself has very little on offer except for a hotel, store, service centres on the Sturt Hwy and a neat riverside park adjacent to Lock 1.
